DESCRIPTION/OVERVIEW:
Your half-day excursion begins with a guided tour through the town of Lihue and
then on to explore the landing place of the first migrants from Tahiti and the
former home of Hawaii's royalty at the Wailua River. We'll board a riverboat for
a journey to see the famous Fern Grotto! Tucked away in this tropical paradise
is a natural amphitheater that provides excellent acoustics famous for the site
where the Hawaiian wedding song was sung by Elvis Presley in the movie,
"Blue Hawaii". Tours are conducted on comfortable air-conditioned
mini-buses by friendly, knowledgeable guides. (Refreshments are available for
purchase in the Wailua River Gift Shop.) Transportation pick-ups begin at 7:15
a.m. depending on location of hotel.
